From sound engineer turned DJ, Helios has been a prominent presence in the music and entertainment industry for the past decade. She possesses diverse talents - spinning for renowned names such as Espolòn, Corona and La Colombe in Texas, at massive corporate conferences in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as gracing the decks of nightclubs in Mexico City.
She has shared stages with artists like Billy Idol, has captivated audiences at colossal Latin music festivals such as Besame Mucho with her electrifying performances and was an official SXSW Artist in 2024.
Helios fuses beats and pulls inspiration from her Mexican roots, her love of hip hop, reggaeton, house and funky edits. She loves the universality of music and how people can celebrate community, culture and life on the dance floor.

Integrating her passion for music and artistry with her technical background in audio engineering, DJ Helios launched her career in 2015. She loves the universality of music and how people can celebrate community, cultura and life on the dance floor. Helios coined the term “Hype You Up (HYU)” to describe her mixes and her DJ style, bringing high energy tracks and seamless transitions between genres, decades and artists.
She fuses beats and pulls inspiration from her Mexican roots, her love of hip hop, reggaeton, house and funky edits. As an international DJ, Helios prides herself on being extremely versatile - being truly bilingual and spinning anywhere from massive corporate conferences all over the US to nightclubs in Mexico City.
Helios has released multiple successful mixes under her HYU series, as well as themed tracks like Essence y Flow or her Bad Bunny tribute with over 16k total plays on Soundcloud. She has also grown her online presence on other platforms like Tiktok, with her fun and upbeat transitional videos, where she has amassed an audience of over 16,000 followers.
DJ Helios strives to pave a path forward for up and coming female DJs and audio engineers, particularly women of color. She loves partnering with local brands and businesses like Frida Friday ATX, _OfCOLOR and M.A.S. Cultura - whose mission is to empower underrepresented communities. A few highlights for Helios in 2024 included DJing at multiple festivals, such as Besame Mucho and Babestock Music Festival, and being recognized as an Official SXSW Artist.
